Joined: Jan 4, Messages: Hi, I got a new motherboard and cpu. I'm fairly sure I installed everything properly, but when I turn my pc on, all I get is a blank screen. All of the fans are spinning and nothing is beeping. I even tried removing my graphics card and plugging the monitor into the onboard gpu, but the same still occurs.

CROCobaltJan 30, Did you reinstall Windows? Well I couldn't reinstall Windows if all I get is a blank screen, haha. Could that be it? You need to go into the BIOS and set the disc drive first in the boot order. The motherboard manual should have instructions and images on how to do that. Assuming you have a legal bootable Windows disc, you then boot from your Windows disc and reinstall Windows. Note: You didn't say which Windows version and bit version was previously running in your computer.

Thanks for the advice, but, like I said, I keep getting a blank screen so I can't access anything. I had 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Joined: Dec 25, Messages: 1,Menu Menu. Search Everywhere Threads This forum This thread.

Hello there I've bought ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard like two days ago and it has arrived today so I installed everything by the manual without any further issues I think. The problem is that it won't boot I mean it's probably booting but I can't see it.

Everything on the board seems to work just fine fans are spinning, HDD is working, no beeps etc. Every forum says "8-pin is only necessary for extreme overclocking or a really power-hungry processor". I really don't know and any help would be highly appreciated.

Now I can not see even bios after boot, all I see no signal detected. I have tried both dvi available. In all 3 pci-e slots too. I even tried to have both card at the same time one with vga another with DVI btw I've tried 1 and 2 ram sticks in different slots too.The issue is the RAM. I tried 2x8GB Ballistix mhz, after having been told that it will downclock itself. However, no matter which order I put them in, even incorrect onesetc. Both sticks function fine on their own.

I decide, fine, mhz isn't listed specifically on the mobo specs, maybe it's having an issue downclocking. Neither stick will work, no matter which slot or slots they're in, either on their own or together. It simply will not boot to BIOS. All I get are fans, lights, and nothing else. Keyboard doesn't light up, monitor gets no signal.

I'm completely at a loss here. Thanks for all your help, guys! No Mobo speaker. It's very important to be able to use beep codes for troubleshooting. Do you know which BIOS version you have? Update 1.

How to Fix the ASRock AM4 boot to UEFI Black Screen

Unfortunately, it appears you're going to have to get different RAM to be able to do anything. Are you still in the bench-testing phase or did you already install the hardware in the case?

Or did you skip the bench-test step altogether? Bad move if you skipped it. Weirdest issue I've had. I'm sure I'm overlooking some trivial thing. It's a new setup for my brother.

The computer boots as normal, but with just a black screen until Windows boots up. If I press ANY key's during the boot process. POST will hang and i'll just get a constantly refreshing black screen that just turns off after a while.

So, I reimaged Windows 10 and lo and behold the post screen comes back! I was excited to see progress. That is, until Windows had updated to this new version of its OS and ran some updates. Here is the updates I currently have installed Perhaps disabling the CPU power features is something I should try?

Perhaps that would be a workaround to this issue until everything is resolved.

Or return the Mobo to Microcenter a go with another brand and scale up into the X series Chipset. It would be a shame though because this Mobo is pretty solid for the price. Edited by yue - 11 Jul at pm. Sounds like memory issues, not windows. If your ram isreduce it back down to not That has been that way for months now, with earlier versions of Windows 10, so I can assure you this is not a new thing with Restart to UEFI and Win I am still not certain whom is at fault here.

That was with Windows 8. So I am inclined to believe it is some broken interaction between Windows and Ryzen, but I cannot prove that In the past it could be disabled from the "Choose what the power buttons do" option in the Power Options screen in Windows But I just noticed that MSoft has yet again changed that screen slightly, and that option is no longer available to configure in that screen.

I have yet to find it, but haven't searched for it much yet. Why does MSoft keep changing things dumbing them down for no reason except to change them! The Full Screen Logo option in the Boot screen should be enabled by default and remain that way.

That is easy to check So you get a completely black screen during POST? What are you using for a monitor? A standard PC monitor or possibly a TV?What's new New posts New resources Latest activity. Thread starter morxy49 Start date Jan 22, Joined Jan 12, Messages So i came home today and noticed my NAS was down. Looked at the monitor and it was full of complete jibberish. Random characters everywhere. I remember it saying Python2. I couldn't reach the WebGUI, and it didn't respond to any keyboard input, so i held down the power button until it died.

After that everything went to hell. Oh boy. I tried starting it up again. Nothing happened. Completely black screen. I let it run for a while, maybe 10 minutes, and tried to reach the WebGUI. Killed it again and tried the same procedure a couple of times. Still nothing. So i tried to access IPMI.
